You're preaching to the choir here, Miss Kabu.

You are 100% right - it's child abuse to refuse vaccination for measles. Two of my Grandma Lucy's babies died of measles pneumonia - before vaccines were developed. The first died at 12 months, and when the second baby got to that size, he also caught it. My mother thought it happened when the second wore the first one's hand-me-down clothes, but I doubt the virus lived that long on clothes that had been laundered and put away.

Great post!  Everyone should read it and quickly pass it on.  So awful that it has come to this for some because they refusted to have their children protected.

Good thinking Kabu. Sometimes a little bit of commonsense is needed. Be careful as well.

Funny they used to pack soap in boxes not very deep so handy to stand on.

everyone should read this. I agree, Kabu, people swallow way too many pills, but common sense needs to prevail in the area of infectious desease, especially when vaccines work. Great post

Thanks for bringing this serious subject to light. It is incredibly upsetting not only how people have fallen for a "study" that was debunked, but in also how we now have people suffering. I sure hope people start making the right decision to get the proper vacinnations.

Kabu

An important and timely post! What's controversial about it? Only the totally ignorant think this is controversial! This business of 'personal choice' ends at the moment you're endangering others, and not getting vaccinated mean you're becoming a health risk to your environment!

Oh, and about your question - the answer is 'NO', particularly in view of who the candidate will likely be!

Shout it from the rooftops!

I absolutely agree, Grandmummy.  My parents always made sure we were vaccinated!  As you well know, because of my CP, had I not been, the end result would have been disasterous!

I'm all for natural treatments, but choosing not to vaccinate your children is not only stupid, it is cruel.  Whenever I hear a story of a child dying or developing life long brain injury or illness because their parents didn't vaccinate, I get so damn angry.

Thank you for today's soap box message!
