Situations like these usually end up turning into 'balancing acts.' I know this happened some years ago, but the bottom line is, someone has got to be working! It seemed like it was tough, but the two of you stuck it out . . .

I feel you know why some of this is going to be very difficult for me. There are times, God forgive me, when you wish the rat was dead.

My husband did not want me at home, he wanted me to work but not in any important position or for myself. It was very important that he controlled all things in our home.

I do plan to continue the stories but it may take a while. It will depend on whether I bore everyone into oblivion.

This is why I wanted to read stories of your life. I know that you are a most amazing person with wonderful stories....and yes men can be the best creatures, the most perfect mate....or they can be a dead rat.

As someone who is in business with his father, I find this to be very interesting.

I suppose men had this old fashioned view that you should be stuck at the kitchen sink with your little apron waiting for the return of your hard working hubby,
Kind of went against the grain when a wife was proving a success at being the bread winner.

I'm so glad you're writing this....please do continue your story. What an accomplishment and all the experiences you must have had! I'm also really interested in the part about how your husband is....it's soooo familiar.
