What fun! And I love your rock. And, I'll ditto what Naut said....it's late and I'm tired but that's outrageous! Stay warm and snuggly!

In a thousand years time no one will know the difference they will think you were an Aboriginal who came to Canada to marry your true love. You saw his face In Wiley's Creek . Well so the old saying will go. If you want to read more you will find it in the ancient book. Written by the same artist.

This is great. You really did a good job on it. It really looks like the primitive art of AU.

It's illegal even if you don't live in Australia? I've never heard of something like that. However, I can tell that that style would take a lot of patience, with wonderful results. Something worth while to do on a cold, snowy day . . .

I really like your rock painting! But are you saying there is a law against painting in the style of Australian Aboriginal art? I can fully understand (and approve of) laws prohibiting it being passed off as Aboriginal art when done by others, but if I want to paint something influenced by it I'm going to damn well do it! How can you pass a law against specific forms of artistic expression? It sounds positively absurd to me, as well as blatantly oppressive! Shades of Nazi and Muslim dictates!

I think it's cool the Australian govt is protecting the Aborigine folk from
having their art appropriated - but I also think their artistic style is almost too intricate and attractive to resist copying. I like your figure, which bears a resemblance to what I've seen of tribal art, but has your particular "flavor." Perfect for the rock art you do!
