I know these obstreperous fellows are like your own children, Kabu,
but one begins to wish they'd be like the flesh & blood kind, and grow up. Maybe move
into a little apartment or a campus dorm, and only trouble you between semesters...

Well of course you know I am a Gnome Doctor a psychiatrist actually. I think I should examine you first and then the Gnomes. With the right treatment and a few expensive x rays. (I hope you are fully insured). I have this super glue I think I shall glue a rain hat over each gnome's head. Or if you wish to go private, I could install the deluxe quarters made from galvanized steel guaranteed to last and shelter your whole collection for life.

I am exhausted just listening to you! They seem to be as one would say "high maintenance" and yes, you must not give in and go out in the snow and catch a cold. You can't please everyone:) Great read!
