Thankyou, for the welcome. It seems typical of an Australian to be so hospitable.

I like your writing style, surely, one like myself can learn from it.

The best seafoods I've enjoyed were always on the beaches--oyster stew in a beach restaurant in Oregon on a cold, foggy day, an oyster roast in a beach restaurant in South Carolina, and a cast iron skillet of fresh shrimp cooked in butter, tarragon and white pepper in an outdoor beach restaurant in Galveston, Texas.  I've tried to copy each of them, but it just isn't the same.

As time goes by

Yeah, sometimes it brings a sad feeling, when something grows and gets too popular.

I actually had the same thing about a baker's shop a long time ago. Well, my problem was caused by the baker's illness which forced him to sell the place.

I could see it was not you she had sunglasses in her hand and you would have been wearing yours. Looks a bit like my Auntie Rosemary, only she fell off a pier and had to be rescued. I think she had a bottle of stout in her hand.

The weather is absolutely gorgeous in all of the photos.

Nice memories indeed. And at least she has a cup in one hand, as opposed to a bottle in each! Gotta have some moderation . . .

Teehee - I can picture you tottering off there and going for a swim.... It's probably financially gratifying for the Doyles, but what a shame when our favorite old eating haunts change so.

That girl may not be you, but she seems to have a spirit like yours!

Kabu
I would have sworn it was you - a bottle of champers in one hand, somebody's heart in the other, LOL...And that is a nice place - I love watering holes where you can arrive by boat...:)
