It has always been my opinion that Border Collies are the smartest dogs indeed. But if he hangs around that cat for too long . . .

They are wonderful doggies - and apparently one of the most intelligent breeds. We always had 2 on the farm; they were very trustworthy and hardworking. He can easily be trained to leave the chickens alone.

If I ever decide to adopt a pet, it will probably be a border collie.
But it won't be here, where there are steps to go up and down, potential trip-sites where leashes are concerned.

Those dogs are rascals if they are not working, they know every trick there is, I think those chicken are living on borrowed time unless a bit of training is encouraged. Funny they usually like water, I really like them, had one once, but they need so much exercise.

No beaches in Wagga Wagga? I didn't know there was a place in Oz without a beach! And Border Collies need a lot of exercise even before breakfast - and after that they really get going! And if that doesn't happen, they begin to dig for treasures...:}
