Well Justi I rarely watch the telivision but I hear the same rubbish on the phone every time one waits for a reply. So I can quite understand your problem. If I ever do watch a film I try and get the dialogue on the screen it makes life easier.

I have a very similar peeve! Here we a channel (TVO, which stands for TV Ontario) that often has some really superb documentaries, definitely worth watching. They generally have some background music, and that's okay...In most cases there's a narrator, giving you some interesting information on what you're watching - but while he's talking, instead of toning down the music or stopping it, THE DAMN MUSIC CONTINUES, DROWNING OUT MUCH OF WHAT HE SAYS! Totally infuriating...

Commercials bother me, so I keep the control handy and "mute" all commercials.
