- Go to Moose...
I think anything can be taken to extreme. The hunter should not hate the non-hunter nor the non-hunter hate the hunter. Each is doing what he believes to be right. I do think those who do not believe in hunting should refrain from eating all meat. Purchased meat is killed by human hands under much worse circumstances than hunting. Truth is: if none are killed the population gets to such proportions neither man nor beast has adequate food. It is a choice of the heart and not the head.

I've no doubt that your property is 'critter friendly,' even for an oversized moose. Give them plenty of room! But you may be in trouble if you start to see any flying squirrels ( oh, and they talk too ) . . .

OH, dear I thought you might have thought it was me hiding in the bushes. Be careful it might be a bit desperate. At least you both have retained your sense of smell, I can smell a fox or a mouse family. I suppose it is better than wolves, I hope it trots away down the road or across the land and escapes from the gun next door.

I hate ANY type of hunting season. Period. I just despise the very idea of it, no matter the reason. I hope those moose do come and stay with you.

Pat's right - in the fall the males can get a bit cantankerous, LOL. But if you stick close to the house and keep your camera handy, maybe you can shoot one...

I think I'd avoid any encounter with one of them - I've read the bulls are
a bit aggressive and a whole lot cantankerous. I wasn't aware they were in the habit of wearing too much cologne, though... ;)
