well i would have given everything i own to have had a husband that would have gone with me to get help for the marriage and for ourselves. one that valued the truth and wanted to live a happier life.
yours is a marriage made in heaven and of love, true love. may you both live to a ripe old age to enjoy each other.

Needless to say, that is indeed very good news. Some people have difficulty connecting with others, but end up in a line of work that requires them to do just that. And then, they end up doing it poorly. It's good you found a 'sister' to relate to. I'm sure Sir Wiley will be just fine . . .

Well of course it is a whammy for Wiley because boys did not cry and I don't think I cried until I felt I had nothing to live for. It is therapeutic of course as long as it can be controlled eventually. A real good cry can I believe release toxins and one can feel when they are released, it tastes comforting.

And how many times do we tell them no but we know in our heart we will do anything to help; our compassionate nature kicking in! I am so glad the therapist turned out to be a most helpful and insightful human being. That gives you both hope that in time those 'crying spells' will be more understood. One who knows:)

I read recently that tears carry stress hormones out of the system
and that is why a good cry is a benefit.
When I was a teen, I had that 'good cry' now and then... like it came out of nowhere. Now I understand that the stress stuff just added up until it had to overflow.

Amen.
Whatever works in a positive manner is a good thing. You two are lucky to have each other's backs!

You couldn't really ask for more in a therapist...
And I do admire a man who's able to cry, a man like that has depth and understanding.
