I thought you would enjoy that gig, even though as you say they were all old dears.
I expect you had a couple of drinks before you went,I expect the entertainers were as delighted as the audience. You must take a cushion for Wiley next time.

Sounds like a good time for all. Although I am part-Irish on my mother's side, I must admit I don't really engage in anything connected to their particular culture. I'm Polish on my father's side, and I don't do anything 'Polish' either! I'm just a good, ol' Yankee boy . . .

Oh, what fun. Reminds me of my Great Uncle Mac who had a
repertoire of "Pat & Mike" jokes that could keep everyone laughing all night, and a lot of them were fit for tellin' in mixed company with the "little pitchers" in hearing distance.

You had a good time - great! I'm very surprised things were 'dry', though, - are you sure these people are actually Irish?

Oh did ja dance a jig, now did ja? Sounds like a lot of fun, one needs to get out and about some of the time. Oh I can imagine Mr Graysome was put out for sure that you left him home alone. Where is his leash for goodness sake?

'Tis grand to be Irish indeed, Grandmummy! I should know, for I am Irish meself! I'll bet last night was such fun! So happy you and Poppy were able to get out and enjoy a bit of fun.
I'll try again to reply to Poppy. If not, I'll send the information to you to pass on to him for me. He's such a love! Tell him even if it doesn't work out this time, I'll try and write to him soon. Love you both forever...
