I know there does seem a lot of noises around at times, but I think it must be the boards
creaking as they expand and contract. I wonder what would have happened if you had just shut the door and ignored Mr Graysome, no I know you would not be so hard on the old fellow, it was lucky he did not scoot off, a bit of a job to see a cat in the dark unless one picks up its eyes with a torch.

I've been hearing lots of night noises for this old place lately. I never can figure out what they are. They always start about the time I'm ready to be lazy with a book before bedtime, and always just after I get really comfortable and cozy.

He knows that you and Wiley will take good care of him and save him from harm, if necessary. That picture reminds me that I want to get out and buy me a new set of pretty bedding for my bedroom. I need a lift in there from the same ole same ole.

Just be careful. Cats are not only very independent creatures, but can sometimes be vindictive too! He may not take too kindly to you referring to him as a 'rat bag' . . .

How nice to have a watch cat, even if you have to look for him
because he is, bottom line, a feline.

Oh sweet baby I love that picture. Glad you found him right away. Buddy is both inside and outside cat but he got into a fight with a bigger cat a couple of nights ago and he has mostly been inside since. He is not hurt.

Unfortunately, or not, Grandmummy...that is a cat's nature, just as it is with most dogs. Glad you found him safe and sound! Give him cuddles for me.

Oops! That is a scare! Bubbles is never allowed out, and I frequently see notices put up on trees in the neighborhood by people who have 'lost' their cats. Poor things didn't get 'lost', they got eaten by the coyotes patrolling our streets at night...
