It's such a lovely time of year for garden produce and apples. Son #2 has a birthday coming up (51) and he doesn't really like cake. He loves any dessert made with fruit. I was thinking about making him something different like a blueberry buckle or grunt or a beautiful apple tart or something, but I have to start looking for recipes.

Was it Mr. Rogers who would sing that song? It sounds like you are feeling much better, Justi, so prayers have been answered. That is certainly your way to think of the elderly being alone and wanting to do something for them.

72 is still okay - here it's getting awfully chilly though! Last night it went down to 41, and during the day it only got up to 56! But our Farmers' Market is stocked with nice things as well...
