I'm glad everything went well, and Sir Wiley didn't have to turn his hose on anybody, but how do you lose a rock painting contest to a gnome? Someone must have cheated . . .!

I'm agin these gnome fairs. I am going to start a petition, No gnome under the age of 150 years will be allowed to gamble or drink. The older ones usually behave more sedately but only because their knee joints have worn and they can't do the Bird and Bee fox trot. I should tidy your garden up now and relax, Oh! you are asleep, never mind it was not important.

I believe that's a lyric from some old Frank Sinatra tune. He'd have enjoyed the party your gnomes threw - it's got all the things we love best: food, fandango and fireworks.
