Yep - I'd have identified the rat grave too - don't want to be digging that up!!

Rats do have a 'bad rap,' but I wouldn't want to take any chances either! Tough time enjoying your latte after that experience, huh?

A whole lot of excite with the dead rat there.

Baltimore City has a severe rat problem. Those rats, though, are often dark.

Well a dead rat is better than a live one. We don't know what runs over our nice green lawn at night, I expect a cat caught it and did not want to have it for breakfast. I hope you enjoyed your coffee.

The color makes all the difference.  A white rat is acceptable--even I have cuddled the two white rats that Grandson Dalton had before he went off to the US Army to be an EOD specialist.  But I would never come anywhere near to a dead gray rat lying in the yard.  Even less near a live one frequenting a gutter.  Wasn't there a horror movie where the rat's name was Ben?

I really feel for your lovely wife. I do not like rats either...perhaps if you show her this though it will help.
