For those who so love the little critters
we need that sense of the larger balance, the larger picture.
I still miss my Madame La Darque. And I still hope she'll show up again.

This was a sweet Kabu post. I was afraid to reply to CC on your post and see just what he knew about Little Riding Hood.... Those wolves you need to write on them. So good to read you.

I suppose you could feed foxy a couple of lamb chops or a free range chicken . I think our Wiley would soon sort out the breeding stamina of the squirrels. I would put the cushion outside and let the little beastie have it as long as she does not poke it under the bonnet of the car. Keep an eye open for that. I would worry more about the bears, but then I know Red Riding Hood,

It might be time to set up a couple of cameras to catch as much of this activity as possible, and create your own nature program ( you can call it Kabu's Korner ). Hey, believe me, it'll be a lot more interesting than some of the crap the networks are currently showing . . .

I've got a ceramic fox guarding my front porch. Smaller than the norm
he's only about ten inches high, and he's got a pensive expression as he watches those
who walk by, especially the dog walkers. Picked him up at Target I think.

Thank you Kabu for a lesson on the animal kingdom. And thank you for your nice comments. I love to write so much but believe me I steal time from myself when I write. My life is so busy and not enough time in a day To do things I love.

A great point you make about the balance of nature there...It is fascinating to watch nature in action.

Do be careful of the fox, Grandmummy. By nature, they are shy and will avoid humans, but there are times when they can be aggressive. As you say, they are a part of nature, and sad as it is, we have to let them eat as well. I'm sure your little critters will be all right.
