I have a friend here who just downsized, Justi. His wife has Parkinsons, and he finally, after much soul searching, sold his bunglaow and moved into a smaller apartment complex for seniors which offers all sorts of help. He found the transition difficult at the beginning, but is quite thankful he took the step now. Your salad sounds delicious - one of my favorite foods!

Life should not alway demand big, fancy meals. . . . especially when some delicious sandwiches and slads will do.

Sadly Justi one has to make decisions before it is too late, I know you love cooking

and your garden. I sometimes think I should downsize but it does seem a bit boring.

George will not be able to work forever, although he seems to be making a go of it at present. I hope you can decide what to do, it is a problem.

It's very hard to get rid of  things that have been part of your life for a long time, even if downsizing demands it...But as to the cooking - who needs that when you know how to make such fabulous salads?

your salad sounds perfect for a Summer day. Dear Wiley is full of energy when he talks about what he is going to do...then he toddles off and has a sleep...We have easy meals...lightn easy sometimes. We eat out every now and again and we eat tin salmon on a roll with mayonaise and goodies on the side. Occasionally I cook a big meal but we can't eat like we used to and we have an ice cream for desert.Every day I make is cereal with raisins and fresh banana and cherries and raspberries and then I add nuts and dried fruit to mine. 1% milk and that is a really healthy breakfast for us. Sending you love and big hugs and hoping that with the rest that you need you can relax and enjoy letting others take care of you.
