I'm really glad you didn't have damage or anything more serious than some disgruntled gnomes!

The balance of nature really DOES sound beautiful at your home. I wish I had a retreat like that. Maybe I'll find one some day. It sounds so lovely.

Glad you came through that storm relatively unscathed. And we don't have a lot of snakes here in Jersey. I'm not sure exactly why that is, but nature is still pretty balanced here anyway . . .

Oops! hit Enter too soon...

Don't find snakes all that creepy, but some folks jump up and down at the sight of one. Used to see thim all the time around Mom's garden and along pathways through the fields and woods - I do prefer to see them first! It's a whole nother thing if they're rattling or hissing or if they're bigger around than my wrist.

No, no I don't like it . It looks creepy, we have slow worms but I have not seen one for years. I cannot understand your love affair with snakes. I missed your storm as I was trying to catch up. It seems that the weather is becoming more violent and of course those gnomes are only youngsters really, they live to many years if someone cares for them, sadly yours may have to go into my Gnome Hospital, yes it is established now. If you wish to take out insurance I will send you a reasonable price quote.

Kabu

Garter snakes are neat, we have them down here as well. Bennie is a little cautious though when we encounter one in the woods. I guess he didn't pay enough attention in zoology class, and doesn't know the distinction between a garter snake and a rattler...

It has been one stormy spring. This has me feeling that we are in for a stormy summer...Always a pleasure to read about the gnomes.
