Here is a suggestion for you: why not contact the local community college or high school to teach one or two nights a week?  Is there a noncredit subject you like? Maybe local history that you can give a class or two. Senior citizens are always looking for fun ways to enhance their knowledge without going back and taking a credit course.  Might even include a trip to a winery or something!

I love the way business once was handed down through a family with pride. I am glad you are working for your dad. I would say learn as much about the whole operation as is possible and see if you have the desire to really own a car wash yourself. You would have the built in experience and management experience. Get the business end of it and look forward to that. Nobody has the fairytale job, regardless of what it is. I wish you well in whatever. Just trust the Lord and be blessed.

Ask the Lord to Lead you, and then Follow.  He hasn't Failed ME YET.

It has to be a boost to your mind to realize you are NEEDED and you NEED all the folks in your life. That's happy living my friend.

I would say that the family business is working for you right now and that is good. You have a degree in History and we know that you can write. Perhaps you will write a history of something that could become a very good school text book or one for KIndle. Who knows. I just believe that your life will go on from here with you remaining a very deecent caring and family minded young man.

I think it's good that you're sticking with your Dad without feeling 'stuck'...
