Gah! That sounds absolutely awful! One of the less-nice things about living where you do, it seems.

Heck, mosquitos will survive anything. The flood probably just made them come out en mass. They've survived Armageddon once, right? Even if it's a total Earth destroy, I'm sure the little buggers will simply find a way to adapt in space and go inhabit Mars or something.

Kabu

I too have a complaint about that Noah guy, although this year I haven't yet seen, let alone been bitten by, one single mosquito! Maybe I'm too toxic for them...

If you recall, I once told you about the rarety of hummingbirds in our parts. Well, dragonflies are even rarer! If I see one all summer that's a lot! And I don't know why. And I have a feeling that, for a goof, Satan somehow stuck those misquitoes on that ark, just to piss everyone off! It worked . . . !

You poor things, surely there is something to make you smell horrible, that is to those little blighters. Otherwise you need bee clothing. I think you need a net tunnel to work under. I expect Wiley is more immune having been bitten before. I shall keep a look out for the ones that  are supposed to be coming here.

I have a lot of trouble with mosquito bites so I try very hard to stay away from them.  Each bite turns into a saucer-sized hot itching welt that stays for days.  Doc has me keep a Medrol Dosepak  handy for bee stings and insect bites.  But mostly I try to stay away from them.

Over the years in Baltimore, we have been having trouble with the West Nile Virus...My dad just so happened to get bit a couple of times the other night at golf. I was unscathed. I guess I am not as sweet as he is.

I like dragon flies!

And I am so glad we do not have mosquitoes here. they do exist, but they don't come to this part of the Springs.  I have seen 3 since arriving here 3 years ago.
