Re: Jimmy
There are probably many to choose from, Justi. I was simply going for the humor in the prospect that, for some people, 'water into wine' would be the first one they think of because they have alcohol on their minds. For me, raising Lazarus from the dead would be the first one I would think of, and that's why I used it as the first half of the pun. Like I wrote, sometimes you can gauge a person's character by asking such questions, and see which answer they think of first . . .

Re: JimmyA
That's too bad, Bill. How about a lantern, or perhaps a large candle? They might work as well . . .

My favorite miracle is the healing of the woman with the issue of blood who had been to all the doctors available for 12 years and no cure, until she touched the hem of his garment.

Re:
Well, believe it or not, C C T, I used to sport a mustache many moons ago, and had it for well over twenty years. But I finally shaved it off as sort of a one year anniversary gift to my wife ( now all my kisses are smooth! ). However, beards and my face are just not simpatico! I tried more than once to grow one, but it came in so unevenly and so haphazardly that I looked more like a 'street urchin' than a 'bearded gentleman.' As for the Japanese and their 'unusual' delicacies, probably the less said about them the better! They should stick to their rice meals . . .

Well, TAPS, it could have been two cheeses! Hey, He was Jesus! He could have used a brick and handful of straw for all we know! But perhaps He should be carful when serving huge amounts of wine to the masses! That's how drunken riots sometimes get started . . .

It is indeed, Kabu. And I wouldn't be so quick to write off the Canadiens just yet! I've seen plenty of teams bounce back from an 0-2 start in a series before, including my Rangers a few years back! Although I'm ecstatic about the lead, I'm not one to count my chickens before they hatch! There's a long way to go . . .

Thanks, Sir Wiley. I know we all need to laugh as often as possible, but for some reason, it seems especially vital on Mondays! I guess that's why I'm here . . .

Re: Jimmy
I have a feeling, Naut, that a lot of people might gravitate to that particular miracle first, but I won't hold it against you. It's a good thing no one can perform that miracle today, or else Martini & Rossi, John Harvey & Sons and Ernest & Julio Gallo would be out of business by now . . .

Jimmy my computer, well phone wire was down, so I could not read your cheery Monday morning message of hope and encouragement. A good job you have shown your photo I imagined you as a bearded gentle man. So randomly being an ex poultry farmer. I rarely eat eggs. The Japanese as you may know love the delicacy of half formed baby ducklings in the shell.I wonder if they prefer them steaming or frozen.? I seem to remember Jesus , I won't say a word against such a wonderful person. I have felt sorry for the donkey type animal that struggled on regardless.

Like Nauticus, it stands to reason that the first miracle I thought of was Jesus feeding the 5,000 with five loaves and two cheeses (oops, make that two fishies).

this has started the week off well...even if the chances of the HABS going forward are ruined now. I just hope Carey Price recovers for next season. It's a tough game.

LOL! And I guess it reveals something of my character and integrity, or the lack thereof, that the miracle of changing water into wine would be the very first thing coming to mind when thinking about Jesus' miracles...
