Those were some experiences there...I cannot imagine living far away from people like that...You do a great job telling your experiences.

That sounds very rough indeed, but you're obviously the better person for it. That which does not kill us . . . And you know things are tough when you have to sleep with a shotgun . . . !

Being trapped in the house 24-7 with nobody but toddlers to talk to
is bad enough when you've got neighbors and the occasional adult chit-chat on the
phone. You were out there like a pioneer woman, on guard against intruders to boot.
No phone, no TV. I'd have totally lost my freakin' mind.

Folk probably do them up as a feature these days . You poor little thing only just better than being a dirt farmer.Like living in an oven Pity your other son was not old enough to realise the sacrifice you made. One thing when young one has the energy to overcome hopefully.

Kabu
I can see the problem! I imagine it's especially bothersome constantly having people stepping in wanting to be taken down the road to the next stop, or even to the end of the line...

It sure isn't McLeod's Daughters...
For all the past fears and pains, I send you, across time, a big, long hug...
