Thanks, julynn. Laughter is indeed the best medicine, and I do my best to do my part . . .

Really, TAPS? I actually like the name Queequeg myself, but not a lot of people would know what it meant, or rather, who he was. Hmmm . . . espresso at Queequeg's. Yeah, that might work . . .

Re: Re:
Really, dsm tchr? I have well over 100 in my collection now, and I try to write a few every day! I'm also in the process of putting them together in book form. I call them "George-isms," because the humor itself is based upon the stylings of the late George Carlin, my comedic mentor. As I write these, I try to imagine him on stage, delivering them to an audience in the style and mannerisms that made him one of the best, if not the best, stand-up comic of all time! I hope I'm doing him proud! Glad you enjoyed them . . .

Re:
Good for you, adnohr. Actually, I'm not a big fan of cucumbers myself, although I don't mind a few mixed in with my salad. And you're right . . . when it comes to honor and devotion, you probably would get more of them from your dog than from most people! Sometimes people say they've lead 'a dog's life' as if it was something terrible! It doesn't have to be . . .

Re:
There ya go, Kabu. But that's the whole point. There's an old saying that says: "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit!" And I think 'cucumber-eat-cucumber' qualifies! Glad I got you off to a humorous start to your week . . .

Re: JimmyA
Uh, oh, Sir Wiley! Are you sure you want to 'go there?' That sounds like something my dad might have said. Although there were six of us, when one of us did something unbelievably stupid that more or less embarrassed my dad, he would usually mumble "Thank God I never had any kids!" It confused the heck out of us . . .

Re:
See, FSI? It wasn't just me! It's a strange metaphor in the first place, one I almost never use! But who knows? 'It's a cucumber-eat-cucumber world' may just catch on . . .

Re: Jimmy
That's true, Naut. When the angel on your shoulder says 'bad idea', and the devil says 'yeah, but do it anyway,' you know you're in trouble! A 'lack of will' may be immaterial at that point . . .

Geez, C C T! Bit by bit, piece by piece, segment by segment . . . where do I begin? I think that . . . but what about . . . yeah, but . . . and that's not . . . oh, never mind! Hopefully you enjoyed my silliness no matter what . . .

JimmyA, this is delightful work. Originals right? There was a blogger here once who paid 10 clicks for an original joke. Can't think of his name but his wife was Anne.

Same reason they call someone a dog - when canines have more honor and devotion than many people! As for cucumbers...I luv 'em!

LOL! As to #2: I'm afraid there are a lot of people with bad ideas out there - and I really, really appreciate it that most often they're also the people who lack the will to execute them. Unfortunately not always...

Thought you were not going to make it today Jimmy
it was about 3-30pm here when you hit the keys.
Now I am not going to remark on Mary because the Author
might start legal proceedings against you and I don't want
to become involved.
But I will say I know plenty of people who look
just like that and they do not drink.
Sadly when you study the grass at the other side
it is full of nettles and thistles the same as this side.
You are always the optimist. Ground up cow over here
you would be lucky unless you wanted lamb.
Well if you will shave as you paint your walls.
You can also suck grapes if a character sucks.
I think a dog would prefer dog meat to cucumber even
in a sandwich, but you probably know more about
politics than I do.
I won't mention chickens as I was a poultry farmer and
I nearly gave my hens away eventually. Keep propping
the trees up.
