Good for you - you got it.
Just giving "the signal" doesn't make it abuse. That's what is so crazymaking for victims; nobody sees it as abuse because nonabusers do the exact same thing under precisely the same circumstances.

You don't - but just giving 'the signal' isn't abuse.
And just because someone gets angry or upset doesn't make it abuse.
