UGH! I hate taxes and on occasion still do them for a living! I liked the box story too - a great joke to play!

Re: CCT

Well as I said before Naut if they would do it quickly and not make a fuss. My previous accountants always looked like a pasty.

CCT

Doing the taxes can give everyone a high color - that's why I never do mine but have an accountant do it. Let him have the high color, and I keep my healthy complexion...

Re:

Go on Jimmy I bet you are a sucker for giving tips to pretty waitresses .

I wish I were like one or two I know who say they never send a tax form in.

Though they grow deadly pale at the mention of this slight problem.

Re: Here, if you have all the papers you need, receipts and all,

Yes I know Ciel but my experience has been that they want to know the cag of a mag and the last time I had an accountant my affairs were two years behind and was living beyond my means , I mean beans after I paid the accountant let alone the Tax man.

Re:

No Kabu  you have paid your penance and said enough Hail Marys. You are now completely forgiven, just be careful next year.

Re: Straw is used here to cover newly planted grass seed. I'm not sure if it's

Good idea, the birds I think although the seed is probably treated with something nasty these days to deter them. I could not understand why Sam covered her garden with straw unless it was to protect against the heat.

Re:

Well we have until Jan. to do it Pat. If we do it by Sept. the tax men will kindly tell us how much we owe without the victim having to work it out. Good luck.

Re:jeansaw

I love the idea of open plains I love flat country, once one would  have had a mulitude of seeds to contend with through using straw but of course selective weed killers fix that these days. I suppose we should wear sun glasses and use cream, the sun burns more than it once did. Don't over do it.

cct

i noticed today while in the garden i had little wheat sprouts, just left them there.  it reminds me where i came from, the great plains and wheat fields.  finally  things are starting to grow, i think this planting will work.  thanks for the cute stories, they made me smile.  i had and still have high color, from the sun. now they are telling us we need to get at least 20 minutes a day, i will be getting at least 6 hours.

I'm getting ready to start on my taxes.  This is the latest in the season that I have ever done them, but I have really procrastinated this time.  I will probably be up all night doing them.

Straw is used here to cover newly planted grass seed. I'm not sure if it's

a benefit to the seed, but it does hide it from the birds.

i leave all that mess to my Son and to Wiley. Why should I bother with it?? Do you want me to find you another animal picture. It's no trouble if you do want more.

Here, if you have all the papers you need, receipts and all,

the tax preparer knows what to do with them all, to your best advantage.  That's the theory, anyway.

Over here, when a waiter or waitress, whose service was less than professional, inquires about their 'tip,' we usually tell them "Don't bet on slow horses!" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And if you think your 'color' is high now, wait until you get deeper into those tax forms . . .
