Oh my - what our boys can do to get us into trouble!! My son delivers for Fed Ex, and brings doggie liver treats in his pocket. All the pets on his route love to see him!

I can't help laughing because you write of your troubles in such a funny way. Love it.

Reminds me of a Doberman we had. Scared postman, Japanese exchange students and salesmen!

Nautikos
I got a pit bull barking recorded that's attached to the doorbell, I don't have to feed it. LOL

have been reading back. Well done on the caterpillar story. I see you are joining the nonsense writers like myself and have shown you can write a very good story for grown up kids. I am so relieved that our Bennie is OK and best to get rid of that growth and have peace of mind. Oh but it is good to be back...AND the new broom is being fitted with anti power water protection...and a secret addition to the turbo power drive.

With some dogs a doorbell is just redundant.
Yappy little dogs are just as efficient then as large ones, although not as likely to deter an intruder. Maybe it works for you, but a good talking-to never changed one iota of canine behavior for any in my family.

Perhaps he didn't initially say anything because he's practicing to be 'stealth doggie!' They can come in handy too . . .

Some people here do not get deliveries because of dog scares. Perhaps the postman could make friends with Ben by offering him a small treat. I don't think that one will want to try though. Perhaps you will have to get a shorter lead until you get in the open.

Oh my goodness. He could become a real combatant. Maybe you should have a more convincing talk with him about what category he should consider. I think he should learn to choose between those who are beneficial persons and those who are not. LOLL I wonder why so many dogs do not like the post people?

That is something how does not like the postman. That reminds me of Garfield in the comics. He often torments the postman.
