I'm watching the news less these days because it is so awful, but Son #1 won't let me miss a thing. He tells me about it anyway. He seems to have a need to talk about it.

Sadly tragedy makes news Justi. We can't escape it these days. Those tranquil days I fear will be just sweet memories and I expect the young will accept disasters as a natural occurrence .

I'm so sorry about that disaster in Washington, and of course also about the many people who perished in that plane. I too had speculated that it might have ended up somewhere in the Middle East, based on the flawed info we had at the outset. Now it's far more probabble that it's in the water, and we may never know the reason...

Yes, much of the news lately has been very upsetting and depressing. It's sometimes difficult to go about one's day and not be affected by it. No one wants to be paranoid, but nowadays, you almost can't help but keep a constant vigil of just about everything that's going on around us! Very scary sometimes. I actually have a theory about all of the 'natural disasters' that have been afflicting our country over the past few years, but I'm somewhat leery about bringing it up. Perhaps in an up-coming blog ( no hints ) . . .
