The only sign of spring bulbs in this area's in my landlady Mrs. Sun's front garden. The first group came up last week. Now they're all up love. BC-A, Bill's Roost

Well I leave all that for Kabu, it's her calling and I can't wait for her to come home. Thanks for your visit to my blog friend. Love to you and George

Although my wife is also anxious about 'getting out there' to put our yard back together ( it's an unbelievable mess right now! ), we still may have to wait a bit. It's still very cold out ( only in the '30's today ), the ground is still very wet and frozen, and, believe it or not, we still have huge piles of snow scattered about that simply refuse to melt! Hopefully, in another week or so, we too can break out the rakes, hoes and shovels, and begin the 'repair' process . . .

You've made me hungry too - those jars sound intriguing. So happy you are finally getting nice weather. It brings out smiles, doesn't it? Ours shouldn't be far behind...

Barring a miracle, my traveling days are over, and my gardening days, other than piddling around in Son's pot garden.  95% of everything he grows now is in very big pots around his patio.  It is very productive and a lot of fun.  I especially enjoy the herbs.

I wish I could give you some good ideas, but I couldn't possibly improve on CCT's suggestion. My main prroblem is that when a plant notices I'm looking at it, it wilts...

These are great ideal but I don't know of any blacksmiths around not. We have some people who make art that are blacksmiths but the products are very expensive. The idea of saplings would be great; however, there are none without going out into the country and getting permission on a farm. I don't know anyone anymore who owns a farm. I will look around for some ideas about this. Thanks I think this will get me onto a right path.

Pity there ar not blacksmiths around Justi they could soon knock you up an Arbour.

There are some lightweight ones on offer in a plastic covered frame. If you could get a couple of saplins place about 4 or so feet apart and bend the tops to form an arch. You might have to put another piece on top to complete the job and bind with some wire. My brother did this for some apple trees and it looks fine.
