I understand completely your reluctance to read some of those terrible headlines, but we must remain as informed as possible. And as far as I'm concerned, yet another discovery of a rock or a gem or a fossil that is well over a billion years old just seems to be one more interesting and unusual contradiction to 'Creationism.' I too hope some day that we discover what really happened all those years ago . . .

You are so right, who knows how they jugded time, how long a year was. I love the Bible dearly and we read it together once every four years, it gives one a new outlook on what is happening in the world today.

i think dinosaurs are fascinating. and giants. maybe it's God's grace that not many super tall people exist. so we don't have to get scared to death over them. or whip out sling shots to be done with them. go David.

We are puzzle pieces too. And the interesting thing to me is that
not only are they finding new bits all over the globe, they're discovering new bits inside our bodies - new reasons for why things happen, genetic bits, and how there are billions of life forms inside our particular "universe."

Maybe we couldn't handle the truth? But like you, I love a good mystery.

I have never understood why one's faith requires a literal reading of the endlessly reworked texts of the Bible...

Those headlines can be tough...Like you, those sorts of scientific finds do not affect my faith...It is neat that there is so much more to be discovered out there in the world.
