Speaking of feeding the critters...

I put out a plate of bread with peanut butter, and when the whole gang of four squirrels showed up, there was the usual fight, tumble and chase for who gets first dibs. There were also a few peanuts. Big Daddy grabbed a peanut and leapt up onto the porch rail to eat it. Itchy got a bite and took off along the top of the fence to a post, where he got busy. Mama grabbed hers and went over by the bird feeder, and the runt sat at the plate and ate. Eventually the fir flew and three of them went elsewhere, and the victor began grabbing one bite after another and running, scrambling to bury each choice bit in the snow in the back yard. In ten minutes the plate was empty.

We, too had rain a couple days ago, melted away even the ice that had formed on the shady side of the gate to the concrete pad between house and garage. I couldn't get garbage bins in or out for two weeks because it was frozen solid.

On such a day you tend to feel lazy and maybe it's time for winter to go and it's saying it's last goodbye's 😃🌻

We had rain all night and then 50 degrees today

Tomorrow is 67 and the Sunday night snow again.  I don't think he know how to make up his mind.

We got nailed with a lot of rain today, even getting a thunderstorm. I do not recall ever experiencing a thunderstorm in February...I feel that you did a fine job with today's entry.

How can it be a misery with Wiley and Mr G,

and all your outdoor friends there to share the weather? And think how much delight will come of true spring, and shiny summer--all the brighter for this bleak day!

Kabu

Soon I'll envy you for frolicking on Bondi Beach - today you can envy me for having had my doggie for pleasant walk in the sunshine at a balmy 10C...
