Oh I love Ham and pea sour. You can get yellow split peas that will taste the same unless the Man does not like yellow which you can redden up with a bit of saffron or smoked paprika and they will add to the flavor too.
I loved the photograph. I know all those lovely cold creatures are thanking Nature Mama today. Love and blessings to you.

Yes indeed, pea soup looks nasty, but I love it when the mood hits and yes, you guys got me feeding the birds outside too for the last two years...They seem so happy.

Yeah, we got buried down here as well! Lots of snow, and now, lots of sleet! My arms and hands are killing me from all the shoveling! I think I'm done with winter! And it's a strange thing with me. I actually love peas, but don't particularly care for pea soup! Something in the overall flavor changes for me. What, I don't know. When it comes to soups, I guess I'm an 'old-fashioned diner,' and usually stick with chicken noodle. Hope you're feeling better . . .

Well I have a job getting on this site, it is hard work I have to keep refreshing the pages,
I could just eat a bowl of the soup not often I like the strange things you eat, but that sounds nourishing. I think one has to have a good cover so don't worry it will be worth it.

Kabu..we got a fresh 6-8 inches of snow
overnight and this morning, and now its windy, making it drift...going to be another cold week, too...talk about a winter of discontent....
