Yeah, this has become one of those Winters where you're better off simply hunkering down, staying inside, and staying warm! I don't know how some of these critters do it year after year . . .

I've run out of peanuts. Couple days ago I took a couple slices of
stale rye bread, sandwiched them with peanut butter and cut it up in cubes. They went for that - the whole plate full was gone in 20 minutes. Yesterday I put out a plate of snack crackers, the crunchy, cheese flavored kind. They wouldn't touch 'em. I tried some baked fajita shells. Turned up their noses. Freezing cold and hungry, and they switched their tails and went back to raiding the bird feeder. Maybe Dr. Oz is right, that processed and packaged stuff isn't really food.

What about Old TOM ? I don't think your readers will let you get away with not finishing him off. That poor dog perhaps it could sleep with the goblins? Alright Gnomes. I still think a catapult would be a good way of dispersing the bird food. Mind you don't fall over.
