So sorry about Harold. It's a shame that hosptials and insurance companies pretty much dictate who can be helped, and who is on their own. God forbid anything serious happens to him! It'll be on their heads! 
And I really wasn't trying to coax you into relaying more national news items over inter-national ones. I was merely being somewhat cynical in expressing my disinterest in some of the silly goings-on in other countries. The world seems to be turning into one, big soap opera, and no matter what the story or the source, I find myself more inclined to simply "change the channel."
