Forget the TV. Nature will almost always put on a better show . . .

Well little birds here are rather more sophisticated Kabu,

they prefer sunflower hearts and to be honest those from the health shop.

The coarser guys take the cat pellets fish and vegetable flavor.

My brother who is very careful only feeds peanuts and contends

with the scoundrels such as Jackdaws and rooks.

One day I shall make a nice bird cake and see if I can entice a rarer species.

Kabu

Those boidies are always great fun. Down here our geese no longer migrate south - they just hang around all winter and poop, not on the poop decks that really no longer exist, but on the docks, much to sailors' delight come spring. And our blue jays, especially the ones who have become family pets, pretty well, eat about a bushel of peanuts a week...

I am the big picture type. It seems to take too much effort with the little things to me. But I enjoy watching and hearing others enjoy!

You have a infinitely curious and creative mind, Dear Kabu!

Matches your lovely heart... I love listening to bird song early in the mornings; some of those birdies can really carry a tune; wish I could decipher the lyrics..:)

Yes they are fun to watch, the blue jays. We have lots of them up in the higher country and some down here in the city as well, but few and far between. The darn things used to tell on us hunters and scare the deer away. Oh, I meant I got the e-mail yesterday, thats the mail box I seldom open. I have a collection of 357 mostly advertisements and folks wanting help with their campaigns, but I have no time for campaigns right now.

When I was a kid

We had Blue Jays in our back yard.  We actually took in the babies once when their nest had been destroyed (I forget how).  The next day, the mother came looking for them and we put them out and all was good.

Be well

I love these things too, Grandmummy.

It's good to feed them, but not so good for them to feel safe around

humans. Some of them are dangerous to wildlife...
