Kabu...still not sure about getting a flu shot here...
My daughter Holly got one and was sick for five days (although she was run down to begin with)...I did get bloodwork done at the Cancer Clinic for my upcoming review appointment and, ouch! she got me good!..

Good for Wiley, and though it is snowing up there, it not so cold...Yet. My wife got her shot the other day, while I, being a little shy waited in the waiting room, shirt sleeve down and buttoned.

Before I walked from the bus downtown in a light snow shower love. And the Christmnas decorations on and over the street are up. Christmas came early.

I had my flu shot about a month ago, just happened to be
in the doc's office. Don't usually get one, but since I'm at the Center and the Library and exposed to more people on a regular basis....

I bet that was a miserable journey, Anyway good job it is over. I think they should come round and give older folk a jab in their own house . That is how my S.I.L had hers. Also supply a bottle of the hard stuff and some chilblain ointment.

I agree, Grandmummy! Good for you, Poppy! Glad you had those flu shots. Now, stay snuggly and warm and know that I love you both forever.

On a day like that the flannels come in handy. And yeah, the Pembroke Hospital seems to have gone into hibernation kinda early...

From what I've heard of Canadian medical care,
unless you have the money to pay for a private doctor, it just plain stinks. Months to get a proper diagnosis for a messed up shoulder... Naut knows of this, and so does another non-blogit Canadian friend who was set to exercises to further damage his shoulder, because someone sorta guessed what was wrong... and it took a full 10 months just to get an accurate diagnosis--10 months of constant and severe pain. Then months more to fix it, and undo the aggravated damage.
I've been told that the reason for it is that Canadians won't vote to pay for better care. Without funding, there won't be dedicated professionals or enough of any professionals: so, long, long waits for mediocre care, frustrated and burnt out practitioners, lousy morale and lousy service.

Good for you, and good for Sir Wiley for speaking up like that. No hospital should be run like the way this one apparently is! And as for that snow, you guys can keep it up there, if you don't mind! I'm not ready to break out the snow shovels just yet! Remember: you're called the Great White North for a reason . . .
