That actually sounds like fun, "building" a car on the internet. Unfortunately, for my wife and me, that's probably where the fun would end. We're nowhere near ready to purchase a new car, although my wife needs one desperately . . .

Send the story of your car and this ending to the head of Customer Service at Ford Motor Company and see what happens. I think it is terrible. I did see a lot about this plant in Mexico when Obama was stealing General Motors and the Mexico works was a big factor in the success of Ford at the time. It was given good marks on service, quality and affordability. Maybe you got a lemon or as my Mom would say...No dear you got a grapefruit to big for a lemon. I hope she runs very well when you get her back.

We used to have a car that would just "die" on me anywhere and everywhere. Luckily it didn't do that when I would get on the highway but as time went on, I was afraid to go anywhere. And the only thing back then the mechanic would tell me, is that as soon as it would die on me, to bring it in. And one day, I got lucky and it died at the red light just around the corner from the dealership. And we finally found out what was wrong. They had to hook it to some computer to find out what the problem was and so after a few close calls, we got it taken care of. But it's very scary to drive like that! Sorry, it's been so long ago and with my car intelligence, I cannot tell you what was wrong with it. But at least it wasn't the driver!!

Re:
The best car I have ever had was made in Japan I think but as it is nearly 14 years old things may have changed. Cars are money boxes , I agree you have had probs with lemon all along. If you win the pools.

I've heard it's a good idea to find a good local mechanic and make
friends with him, and forget taking a car back to the dealership. A local guy has to do a good job to keep customers coming back - if he's a slackjawed profiteer who'll leave a monkey wrench in the works, he'll be out of business in no time. Hope your little Fiesta does become a party you can enjoy...

Reading this has me wondering where the parts for different vehicles are coming from.

Well it is named "Fiesta" so that fits, but you are right, I think all manufactures have parts that are made here and there and then put together somewhere. Glad you have enjoyed your day. We bought a Dodge Nitro and the salesman told us it was front wheel drive. When we got home we found it was not front wheel drive, they don't make a front wheel drive Nitro, so we took it back and the dealership bent over backwards to get us into another car. We ended up with a Volvo Ocean Runner, four wheel drive with a 311 hourse power turbo v8, car # 101 of only 800 made for the same price, when we looked it up it was worth 6000$ more than the Nitro...It must have been some big mistake on the salesman's part. I guess we all get lucky sometimes. I hope you get your car back soon, but do enjoy the Nissan while you can...My suggest Brewer's Woods?

Didn't you get suspicious about the car's origins when you saw that all the documents were in Spanish?
