Tough luck as usual, but better now than in the snow.
Try not to scratch the hired car
they usually look carefully for any little mark
even if it was there in the first place.
Back nice and comfy now?

That Ford dealer should have a loaner car for you, it's just good
business. People who have to rent a car in this circumstance get an extended test drive. If they like the other they might just switch brands. Kind of arrogant of him, when you think about it.

I really dislike dealing with car repair problems. I have one needing to be done too. My Subaru needs new axle boots. Actually, it needs new tires before snow. The tread is about gone.

Sorry about the trouble but it is coming out fine. Naut is telling you right about the mechanic. At least you had a nice fun brunch. Do that often the car will not be a problem every time. We love you and glad you both are ready and able to be out having fun despite trouble.

Dealers are always a problem. The thing to do is find a good, independent mechanic with his qwn shop, and make friends with him, which shouldn't be dfficult for you at all! It's the only guarantee for good work and good service...I made friends with my mechanic years ago; it was an excellent move, and even though I had this ulterior motive at the beginning, we're now real friends...

The only courtesy cars I've ever been given were clunkers--
their guarantee that no one would steal the thing.

How old is your car, Kabu? My CRV is a 2007, and even last year when I took it in the garage had a courtesy car for me. Was that where you BOUGHT the car? If so, the garage is not kool!! I suppose the ice cream made up for the problems..
