Yeah, it's rare, but I've had that happen to me from time to time. Bend at the wrong angle and pick something up the wrong way and -BAM!- agony city! Feel better soon . . .

Poor thing, isn't it best to lie on a hard board for back pain. I seem to remember someone doing that. Mind it is so damned uncomfortable one forgets the back pain.

All your gardening work you managed without a mishap, but you may have saved Wiley from a real bad fall.

So sorry to hear this.  I know from experience that can be excruciating pain for a time.  It's time to pamper yourself for a while.

My back is at it again too, Grandmummy.  Get well soon.

Ah - so that was it! Maybe the fall did have something to do with it as Justi suggests? Hope you're feeling better. And how is your other half? Is he having pan too?

Dear One,

I am so sorry. Do you think the fall had something to do with it too? Take good care of yourself. God bless both of you!

So sorry to hear your back is giving you fits...

The right bed is so important!  And memory foam, as far as I've experienced, just makes a too-soft bed.  Mine is now underneath the futon.

If the futon doesn't work out, I shall roll it up and tie it in a tube, and shoot it out at the first passing car.  You know--a futon torpedo...

I feel so bad for you, I know the pain. Our foam mattress does the same thing to us, I had hoped it was just ours as it is not the real memory foam. I think when we can afford it we will look into a sleep number bed, or perhaps a board with a sheet nailed to it. Good luck, and take it easy.

Back pain, especially the lower back that pulls itself outta whack

from raking, shoveling, lifting, bending, pulling weeds... It's pure misery. You have all my sympathy, which may help if you've got an Aleve and an ice pack to go with it. Hope you feel better by the time you read this.
