In summer I often just use the garden hose - it's cheaper, and I don't have to drive too far...

Well we had our car cleaned inside and out early Summer and because we garage it and don't use it all the time, It is still not bad.

No matter what type of job someone has, no matter how much "down time" they might come across, and no matter how bored someone might feel . . . there should always be something to do!

Yes you are lucky to enjoy your job FS. I have tolerated most of mine but never really enjoyed them.
