Gosh it sounds like your computer could do with being wiped and reinstalled. If you go for a new one be wary of Windows 8, all the reviews I have read have been bad.

We're really looking forward to the puppy and how she will relate to the cats...I imagine the cats will have a few hissy fits at first, but they'll get used to the pug and hopefully become best buddies in time.

I'm glad to hear your computer is running well again (I've also had a lot of problems over the last few days, maybe there's something in the air, LOL), and it's really great that you're getting a doggie. I know a little bit about dogs generally, but nothing specifically about that breed. My own experience is limited to German Shepherds, Standard Poodles and German Shorthair Pointers, my current doggie Ben. But I'm sure there's a lot of information on the internet...

It's nice that you're getting a new puppy. And it's equally nice that you're getting something on the "small" side. No need to overwhelm the cats and send them into a panic! Good luck with the new computer . . .
