Sometimes when you don't have much in material things, a lot of Love & Perserverance comes in to help carry the load; which builds stamina, fortitude and all that stuff but in the end, CHARACTER is Born!       Thanks for sharing.

How many dreams just imploded in those harsh conditions. You describe it well Kabu. Thinking of you and the Boss.

I wish someone could help find out why Wiley is having so many problems.

Kabu...

Its good to hear Wiley is improving, even just a little bit...the new medication likely takes time to kick in?...you and Wiley are such great support for each other...we'll continue to pray for you....

Kabu

Fascinating again! How'd these people cram their families into a tiny cottage like that, or would they just add additions as the kids came along?

That is interesting reading the history of the cottage.

I think the little Miner's Cottage is adorable!  Glad that Wiley is better, even though it is not a big difference he isn't declining like he was before daily almost.

Kabu

I am still praying glad our Wiley has better balance and soon you will know the measure of the meds. I am so sorry he is not feeling better yet. The story of the abandon house is great and I am like TAPS I loved that movie and another one I think called out of Australia. Wonderful post. Give Wiley a hug from us.

Amazing photo - there were similar little houses in the desert of

eastern Washington when I was a kid - abandoned by then, but with sand piled up against the walls and tumbleweeds caught in the fences. Amazing human will power, to stand up against the elements that way. Good to hear that Wiley's balance is a little better; I'm taking that as a good sign. (LOL Gengis-Kahn Graysome)

Your writing here makes me wish I could see once more my favorite movie about life in Australia, "The Sundowners" with Robert Mitchum, Deborah Kerr, and many other long-gone wonderful actors.  Perhaps they have it in our downtown library.

what a little house!

Be it ever so humble . . . Sometimes you can't help but to think of certain groups of people around the world who don't even have that! And I hope Sir Wiley is doing better! Perhaps Mr. Graysome and the chipmunks can keep him occupied and entertained, at least for a little while . . .

The little house and the anecdote reminds me of the story 'The Lamp At Noon'. Have you ever read it? Maybe all that sleeping is part of the medication effects? Big hugs to you, sweet Kabu (hey - it rhymes!)

There are little houses next to the roads here and there in the faming areas where the sharecroppers used to live. Thye look very much like this picture Kabu. Jus little stone or wood frame houses no bigger than 4 rooms I suppose.

Sometimes it's not what you say but what you dont, that spills out of us.. love you dearly lady
