You write so well..
You just do.
I can imagine " back in the day"
You bring me to a spot, I love this writing.
Interesting too to learn that Nylon is "better" - I can believe that before I can believe a super fast squirt of water is going to do the job "I" expect if "I" was paying.
"You guys, Know Your Stuff!!"
Sometimes, folks just go with what they "hear" rather than what is "true"
:)

I go to a touch-less wash where a guy at the entrance uses a brush on my rear end, or at least on that of my car...

I would be afraid the brushes would rub holes in my old car FS. So I would have to go for brushless is it cheaper should be not wearing the brushes out.

Everytime I read about your car wash(s) I start thinking about the fact that mine needs a good cleaning both inside and out.

I prefer 'touch free', it's very fast and employees in a car wash here don't care as much about my car as the touch free does.

Re: adnohr
From what I have seen, I prefer brush no matter the year.

Great Post...I prefer the touch free but our little red car is still fairly new cos we don't go far. I do know that it is best to pay the full price and include a wax. even in mid Winter our little car comes out pretty clean. I have learned quite a lot from this post and it has begun a discussion for Wiley and I to share....Thank you luv.

What would you suggest, FSI? I've heard that the brush wash better for an older vehicle, and the hands free better for a new car. Probably exactly for the paint.
