It sounds awesome to have done all that travelling!

The travel bug had a bite on me for many years.  Now I am completely satisfied to do it by all the wonderful things on the internet.  A little bit ago I did a full-screen viewing of the Library at Alexandria that Annicita was talking about.  The video satisfied me and I do not feel I have to travel to Egypt.

maybe that is why I am not a traveler at all we traveled to was Nebraska, Montana and Colorado as a kid to visit relatives.  I have no desire to go anywhere but I think it would be nice to go to Sweden and Germany my heritage countries

You were lucky to be able to travel Kabu as you have said before sheep farming was a dead loss for years. I guess you just hit it lucky. Well for a while.

We used to go to Yellowstone every year. My dad had relatives up that way, and then we went to Vegas to visit my Sis, but traveled at night...No AC. Great post today Kabu...Thanks for the memories.

Hi Jetter

This is a lovely story. I love being home for the most part. You are a wonderful, fun and creative person. You two go out and get that fish dinner up the road a piece and enjoy the company of each other and let this not so nice world mind its own business. Well that is unless you want to come down South for the winter.

Your parents had the right idea!  But a pink ducky? Dreadful! And that explains a lot - I now realize you were traumatized for life, hence your tendency for attacking people riding on your broom...

A very elderly journalist once upbraided me for my lack of travel. He told me my education was not complete. He had been around the world a few times, and had interesting stories. I waited too long, I guess. I'm like you with Camelot now - home is where I'm happiest.

I once knew a teacher who took his summers off to sail the world

via tramp steamships. He liked them better than cruising, time to read and they went to more interesting ports of call. He said it was good to be able to eat with the crew and hear their stories.
