You'll be glad this winter when you have a better system in the winds and damps.  A little sleep can make the day go better.

I just hate it when they tell me they will be there at a certain time and don't show till lots later!  But is good that the alarm didn't go off and you slept some at least!

Every company does that! They give you a general time, and then hold you hostage all day until they arrive! And I know what you mean about somehow losing a day in the middle of the week! Mondays and Fridays seem easy to keep track of. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays have a way of blending into each other sometimes ( at least for me ) and then I find myself asking people "What day is this?" Both confusing and embarrassing . . .

One of my favorite things is when the alarm fails to go off, but I hate it when the service people do not show. I do hope and pray for you and my Friend Wiley, you are both so dear to me. Thank you so much for keeping my poem and the photo I took, but it is not the moon Kabu, it is the sun. There is so much smoke here because of the fires that the sun turns red in a thick sky, and moon runs red and orange through the night. Be blessed my friends.

Kabu..did they actually make it there yesterday?

Or were you and Wiley stuck waiting all day for nothing?  These companies that tell us to be home between 7am and 4pm, or whatever, and then don't show up are a pain in the butt...(emergency situations not withstanding)....

Now how can it be Wednesday it is Thursday here and has been for 16 hours perhaps you could bet on a horse that ran today and win a bundle.Never mind you will get there eventually. We used to have oil heating but it became too expensive and it blacked the ceiling, took years of painting to bring it back to a dirty Grey color. I suppose I should have scrubbed it with a toothbrush first, but it would have tasted oily when I cleaned the cat's teeth.

I hope they finally did get there.

Someone posted on Facebook that Wednesday is

the middle finger of the week. It seems to apply here.

And did you ever, even one time, have workmen arrive to do something exactly on time and with all the necessary parts and supplies to handle the job? Cable guy? Phone repairman? Oil tank installer? Seems we should be happy just to know we're "on the list."

Good grief.  All day long I have thought it was Tuesday.
I did, though, get out and go get my car inspected and my new stickers for the license plates.  I've been putting that off way too long, but now it is taken care of.

Kabu

What a drag!

Workmen can be a drag either way - when they don't show up they mess up our schedule, and when the do show up they mess up our house...

It is such a pain when we alter our schedule around for a worker to come to the house only for them to be late or not to show.
