Crows are very interesting to observe.  They learn quickly and they remember.

You are becoming what I would view as an official naturalist.  I am so relieved no crows were murdered with you watching, I remembered at the last minute it is a term for a group of them.

Kabu

Sweet story. I have a fun time watching my two cats as they adapt to one another and fight over who takes pecking order this week. I have never watched birds that closley it was a fascinating story. Thanks for sharing.

A rather mistrusted group of birds , but they are no worse than most. I rather like them. As you say they do clean up the roads and I don't think they steal little birds eggs like the magpie's do. They are quite nervous round about here unless it is that they get ample food from the tarmac road cafe.

Your account there just goes to show that birding watching enthusiasts should not neglect observing the crows.

Oh what a wonderful story!  That older bird felt sorry for the little one so he or she fed it that is so cute!

Kabuiepie-;)~

It's a good thing my physical condition has kept me solitary and asleep. I didn't know so many Craig st. deadbeats were turning our silent North Camelot into a crowy parking lot. I still love you

If they saw you bring out the food for them, they will not forget you.

Saw a BBC special on the Nine Network about crows - they recognize faces, and will scold people they do not like. Some have been photographed using tools, sticks to pry something open or to move something closer so they can eat it. This is so interesting to me. :)

I saw a bunch of crows the other day. They were quite the sight to see.

Awwww!

Bo and I saw a squirrel family yesterday. Will look for them again tomorrow. I'll have my camera this time if they aren't too speedy! Blah!

We have loads of crows and grackles here, Grandmummy.  You'd have fun watching them.  They're such funny birds!  Now if only my little blue jay would reappear!
