Kabu...
Your house looks well lived in and enjoyed...one can be "neat" without being a "neat freak".

I hate housecleaning!! Now I've kinda hit a jackpot.....I love cooking, and Helen doesn't like it at all. But she does enjoy cleaning!! What more could one want? I like your officew - it looks warm and used!

I understand. I do not like house work, but will do because I do not like clutter. I know that is the reason I am in constant conflict with those around me.
I do not say a thing about the clutter of others, but I think they assume that I do because it is not found in surrounding. I hold the philosophy of live and let live. Everyone needs to be comfortable in their homes.

Your "nothings" are better than many people's "somethings".

I know how you feel. It is your home, your time and time does not go as far as it did 40 years ago. I believe if you enjoy your home and your life that is 100% for anyone else. I think that photo looks great, happy and lived in and lots of love on the walls and in furniture. I love it.

Funny how we can be so busy doin' nothin'.
Today the twins Josh and Jason - (J & J Concrete) came by and started the curb appeal job - I wasn't expecting them until Monday, so it was a pleasant surprise. Cute guys, kind of like the Property Brothers on HGTV, and their crew is completed by a tall skinny young man named Patrick. Amazing how strong they are, how much power they wield with a sledge hammer. It started raining before we could pour concrete, but the forms are in place and they've got a good start on stacking the stone for the retaining wall around the front. My energy went into supervision, fetching a bottle of water, and admiring their handiwork.
