You make some excellent observations. Generally, I think the electronic 'interconnectedness' we're experiencing is leading to a lack of connectedness in many areas of our lives...

We do not seem to have that problem so much here, but this is a tight-nit cammunity, for the most part, and I doubt their cell phones would work where that picture was taken, I know the spot, but you are right, we have forgot how to set boundries. I think in a world where it takes both parents working just to make the ends meet, that we have relied way too much on the television, and modern media (phone, texting, face book) as the new nanny, forgetting that, that is where the boogie man lives.

Somewhere along the way in the advent and expansion of technology, and in teaching children how to use technology, we forgot to teach them self-control in using it. Instead, adults have set boundaries that have not worked, and attempted to police their children's use of technology, but have failed miserably, and we have set very bad examples.

Dear Justi... You are so sweet... and I totally know what you are talking about... Sometimes I wish I could come and sit bu my computer and read and read all day... but life has a way of intruding on what one wants to do and it is what it is. I too feel you and all these dear people whom I read are my friends :-) Be well :-) and tend your flowers... can your fruits... and know you are never far from my heart xoxoxo

Social and communication skills begin at home. If parents allow their children to isolate themselves and be busy on their to avoid them, this is what happens. It is difficult for many parents to juggle and teach their kids etiquette and appropriateness at home, with others and balance.

The art of conversation has gone the way of technology - it was so much warmer hearing the voices. I would love to have a chitchat over coffee or tea with you too, Justi; I imagine we would have lots to say!
And yes, dear lady, you can pray for me any time!! And thank you.
