The late, great George Carlin said it best with "A house is nothing but a place to store your stuff while you go out and get more stuff!" I think most people have too much stuff already . . .

Dear Lady you stuffed this post full of good suggestions, sayings and definitions. I loved it. You can write interestingly out of thin air.

I like that handy little word, too. And George Carlin did a great
routine about stuff. How we keep accumulating it, have to build onto the house to keep it, or pay to store it, etc., etc. You've done it again, Miss Kabu - made something out of noting.

You sure do a fun thing with a 'nothing' post. All that stuff you wrote about made me laugh!

I know, I know. First two weeks of too much heat, now three nights of rain, even I feel like I'm swimming in this supposedly dry climate. Loved the cartoon.

Kabu
I love that word, and I use it all the time! There's just too much stuff that neither has nor even deserves its own name...

Reading this reminds me that there are a lot of different contexts under which "stuff" is used.
