Things of this nature make me so glad that my wife inherited the house we live in lock, stock & barrel. No mortgages, no banks, no realtors, no tenants . . . just a somewhat hefty property tax to pay each year ( thanks a lot, New Jersey )! That's worrisome enough for us! Good luck . . .

Oh dear. I really hate to think about things like that. I hope I have no reason to move again....ever.....until
"Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away, to a land on God's celestial shore....I'll fly away. I'll fly away oh glory, I'll fly away. When I die, hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away."

Do you read sam 444 she has been having trouble for 9 months. You have had enough trouble just being in Calgary at the moment. I do wish you and hubby all the best.

I do hope this does not go on much longer. I can't imagine having your dreams so close and yet so far away, but in my old age I have learned that these things have a way of working themselves out for the better...Best wishes...Utah.

Well I think it is pretty obvious that house are going in for a run upwards, of course eventually interest rates will rise and one has to take that into account. Good luck.

Uh oh! Let's hope this doesn't lead to further complications! I agree, one doesn't want to act like a bully, but these tenants should have been more diligent in exploring their options. Ultimately it boils down to the legalities...

The tenants must be disappointed, but your hubby is right. There are procedures to make them move. Weird that they are ok paying that amount in rent, but don't qualify for a purchase. Are mortgages realy high in Calgary?

Mia...
I hope you enjoyed signing that paperwork this morning.
..I remember our first one back in the 70's - the interest rate was about 7.5% (or even a bit higher)...my, how times have changed, thank goodness!..
