I believe it can be difficult in the beginning to become assertive! It was good that you had a psychologist that could help you get to the point you needed to be also! It's about having a place that is clean so that people can clean what they need to and more importantly keeping them! sam

I guess that's one of those situations where people learn and grow with each experience, whether it's positive or negative . . .

People like Kevin can challenge a middle level managers. This holds true in many places, even families. Assertiveness grows in time with practice and certainly with your combination of teacher and being a student of your Dad to learn more than just the basics of managing the family businessYou will be well prepared when you run the business.

Great job in the management area, it is so a huge challenge indeed.  Everyday there is something different going on.

It kind of makes you wonder how he kept his living quarters and if he didn't notice dirty dishes in the sink, or unmade bed, or overflowing trash.

all learning experiences and it is a fine line between being assertive and picking on the employees. But you FSI are a really fair person and i know explore all avenues before speaking.

its hard to be assertive in a situation such as this, but he needed to know that he wasnt doing his job

It's true - each of us had our own way of looking at things. It's nice that you are now able to assert yourself when needed.
