those are some rugged flowers to look that beautiful after such a storm. Glad nothing major happened to you. It sounds sort of dramatic and fun to read and have nice cold cuts.

Oh my gawd those are gorgeous!! One thing I hate about Miami Beach is that between the ocean breeze and the heat it is very difficult to grow flowers... at least the delicate ones like that. True we have other flowers , Begonias, some roses.. gardenias, jasmin and ever so many shades of green
... but I miss Spring up north... that burst of color that follows the winter white always seemed to me like the biggest miracle :-) Supper in the dark sounds very romantic and cold cuts, chesse, fresh bread... Mmmmmmm all you need is candle light and a good bottle of wine !!! Be well my friend xoxoxo

A pity about peonies, they would be magnificent in the garden if they had strong stalks. I am glad you escaped the floods. It does seem that we are all getting a touch of nasty weather. Can't stop, catching up to do toodle oo.

This is a rather sad situation up there for my Canadian friends, but your peonies brighten up the world a bit. I do pray that the worst is over. God bless.

I am sorry about your bad weather. Those beautiful flowers are such a joy, I am just taking them in as if on my table. I certainly hope the weather gets better.

Yes they are. And the cold foods sound like a picnic with candles and flowers.
And for entertainment, who could want anything more than books?

The flowers are beauties... I hate to bring them in, but they are
gorgeous and you really had to. I think we got part of your storm here - they seem to be marching along a line that goes all the way from Texas and Louisiana all the way to Camelot North. Keep calm and carry on, isn't that our motto?
